Christy McDonald, Associate Director, Executive Search

Christy McDonald graduated from Lee University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. She began her career in private industry including manufacturing and healthcare, where she was involved in General Ledger accounting and partnership tax. She has worked for two national search firms, with a focus on Accounting and Finance permanent placement. Her clients ranged from small privately held companies to Fortune 500.

Christy is actively involved in the financial community. She is a Regional Director with the American Society of Women Accountants for the Raleigh, Charlotte, and Greenville Chapters.

On a personal note, she is married to Russ McDonald, who is currently in graduate school at Duke University. She regularly attends latin dance classes, and has participated in Improv 101 and 102 at the DSI Comedy theatre in Carrborro. She also trains for local races and half marathons. She enjoys traveling and has been to Mexico, Morocco, Canada, Russia, Trinidad, and Spain.
