The Kemp Group is currently working with an established manufacturing client to fill a General Accountant position located in Gilmer TX.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for analyzing daily costing transactions.

Prepare and make general ledger journal entries.

Responsible for preparing internal reports regarding production.

Resolve variances.

Actively participate in improvement of procedures and policies.

Review excess and obsolete inventory.

Assist with the monthly closing process and annual budget process.

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance.

5+ years in general accounting. 2+ years experience in manufacturing accounting.

CPA/MBA preferred.
