The Kemp Group is currently working with an established manufacturing client to fill an Accounting Manager position located 2 hours West of Lincoln NE.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Plant Controller in all phases of the financial operations

Apply generally accepted accounting principles and company policy to financial activity at the plant.

Control and safeguard the plant's assets. Prepare monthly journal entries. Forecast, analyze and report on financial data.

Lead, train, develop, and motivate the accounting staff.

Delegate appropriate assignments to each individual in the accounting department.

Monitor the progress of these tasks assigned to the accounting staff.

Analyze financial data from accounting staff for submission to plant controller, division, or corporate.

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance.

5-7 years of accounting experience. 3+ in manufacturing requried.

CPA/MBA preferred.

Demonstrated knowledge of manual and automated accounting systems and appropriate controls including Budget Preparation, Profit Planning, and Capital Expenditure Management.
